Having said that, maybe the idea of a looney chick that really scares me..haha..

But whatttaheck! The female form (in its subjectivity <--did I use it correctly?), is always enchanting and sometimes can be the fall of a man.

Pergh's Character Redesign Battle 132 : Captain America

Don't pay any mind to my INaccurate and IMproper namings that started with the letter I. Thats just me goofing around. Uhuh-huh.. ~

This time around, I managed to "capture" one of many Pergh.com's star artist, Mr. amykamen555 to pour his experienced touch of colors to my hollow scratching. I am truly honored. Hope you guys love this piece as much as i do.

Pergh's Character Redesign Battle 131 : Iron Monger

Well, I guess you guys already knew of Obadiah Stane a.k.a Iron Monger from the now classic Iron Man movie. I don't really read a lot of Iron Man comics, and the name 'Iron Monger' is a little distant to me, not like the usual Whirlwind, The Living Lazer or Crimson Dynamo.
(Or the name/character just eluded me for some twisted and uncanny reason.) <-- lame excuse for not knowing things~

Without further a due, here's my depiction of Iron Monger in the "battle"..with big help, colorwise, by Mr. Alif Artik..

TROUBLED SOL

Pergh's Character Redesign Battle 122 : Sol Badguy

I'm gonna do this without a mention on my 2 months of no updates...so, just bare with me if you can. :areallycutesmileyface:

This is a character re-design of Sol Badguy. A character which in my circle is quite famous actually in the Guilty Gear game, but not to me..as to I am not a games addict...yet.
So, don't blame me for my shallow interpretation of this guy, ok?
(Truth is, i'm still annoyed by his name..ahahaha..)

Enuff meaningless typing to self, and here it is, done with pencil and ink..

A great many thanks and appreciation to Chiko for his support and effort. Although this colored version didn't make it to the poll, his talent and 'coloring spirit' are really inspiring.

CHA'RON : THE PREMIER NINJA AGENT OF MOSAD IN STRIKING RED ARMOR

This was supposedly an entry for a Pergh's CRB #120: SAURON, but i was late for submission..about half an hour late..a two nights' worth of sleeping late~...ahaha but its still a good workout though!
Ok, this piece still needed some adjustments and stuffs, especially on the lighting (which i always got confused..~ehehe..) and my coloring technique..(how far left behind am i when i'm still using and learning PS CS3 when everybody are halfway through exploring CS5??)
And oh, please dont say a word about the background..ngehehe~ ;p

'AMAR' SKETCHES

Felt like it was years that i haven't posted anything here..ngehehe..
I also felt sorry to myself for not having enough strength and determination to keep doing this as often as i can..~ just leave it at there, shall we..ehehehe.. coz, other than that, it'll sound more like lame excuses..
So, here are sketches i made for an individual who wanted a 'visual-aid' in writing his novel. A character sketch based on what he described of his main character, Amar.
But sadly, he called off his project..

PINK FLAVOURED CHERI

While i'm still struggling to put colors to my own sketches, a friend offered himself to color one of them. Feeling honored, i blessed and waited impatiently for him to finish...and i have to say, the wait was not in vain, for Chiko have done a really great job!!
So here, i would love to express my appreciation for Chiko who had sacrificed his valuable time in coloring my sweet Cheri...and her pet of course..hehe..thank you Chiko. :)



Oh, did i mentioned that i got all fired-up to do digital coloring on my own after seeing this piece?? Hehe.. ;D "Hip-hip-hooray for Chiko!!!"

Pergh's Character Redesign Battle 113: ULTRASEVEN

Ok, this is my second digitally colored work for CRB, and lost another 5 hours of sleep on the night before i submit it.
Up to now my head keeps replaying the opening song of Ultraman Ace, over and over again...uhhhh...
In regard of that song, i got the idea of making it like the opening...err, thing, on almost all of Ultraman series (i think...). The ones where it shows the silhouette of that week's monster and title of the episode.
Besides Sketchpro, this time i also used Photoshop for some... "enhancement"...

First of all, i'd ike to say i'm sorry to myself (and everyone that i need to apologize..) that i left this/my blog un-updated for a month long...hehe, since my workplace changed management, i got a little distracted and caught up in work....and stuffs at home...

There were only 2 connections i can make with this character to other established ones. I think due to lack of paying attention or my memory is getting worse by the day..anyway, one is Gambit from the Xmen and Son Goku of Dragonball. I connected them thru the stick (or bo staff) they are carrying. Sounds stupid right? Ok, stop, dont judge me, please. Hahaha... Hey, even before Zombieland, i've always held on to "Its the little things..." hmmmm...nuff said lah..

Oh, i added something that i quite regret for the battle, Goku's hair for Go-Maul..
don't know what i was thinking then..hmmmpff!!

Sometime last year, a friend of mine asked me to re-design a few characters for his company's project. Which was under MDec's funding. Just recently, he told me that Skytech Digital Sdn Bhd, his company, is about to finish their 3D animation gig around next month. I also asked him if i could post some of the sketches and designs that i did on my blog. He said yes.
And so here it is, the main character for their 3D animation project which previously called 'Penjejak'-but later was re-named to AVAV, which stands for AntiVirus AVatar.... ;p





I might try to get a piece of the finished thing from them to be posted here in the near future. Along with other sketches and designs. Its nothing much, but it was something I took a part in...so...hehehe...

A few months back, i tried to test my luck for an animation grant by MDec, and redesigned this bunch for a more clean, animation-like look..not a very succesful effort, but whatdaheck eh?!..haha..

THE BOY DEVIL : BEEL

It's been a week already??? Time really flies when you got much on your head and your hand doesn't it? Anyway, on with the pathetic show shall we?

Another character meant for my so-called proposed comic.
He's one of the freak of nature in the storyline that's got the "freaky" look..
The zip on his hoodie doesn't seem quite right..or is it his right chest?
And the goat's/devil's head on his pants shouldn't be there...it's just awful!





I'm starting to feel embarrassed about what i'm doing here...
I don't know, maybe it's just a phase..
But the hell i won't give up now!!

CHERI and pet(s).

This Cheri is one of the characters i created for the postponed comic i talked about yesterday...the first one was my attempt in trying to draw a cute girl, not so successful...but the second one i think is better...but that's my personal opinion only..hehe..
I can't really decide what is her 'real' pet would be..the 1st one is supposed to be a leopard..or tiger..huhuh..and the 2nd one looked more like a fox rather than a wolf..;p...
Anyway, since i decided that Cheri's specialty is kinda related to animals, lets have her with a collection of pets!!
That'd be cool, rite?!

A few years back, i tried to do an 8 page "manga-ish" comic to submit to Gempak (if you know about the Bakat Baru or The New Talent thing thats going on there..it'd be easier for me ;p)..but it seems that laziness, time and my surroundings kept holding me back..(yeah, blame it on everybody..haha.. T-T)..

Seriously, at that time, i don't think i'm ready..theres much to learn and to think about..but thinking too much won't get you nowhere..wahaha..[ i'm still struggling to just do without excessive thinking -just like when i'm typing these words, it took forever! huuuhh..]

TOO DARK TO SHINE??!!??

Its been a week since i last posted anything here..
haha, busy giving the fullest of my attention to my new super-special "someone",
...my dear baby boy!!...born on the 13th, and up to this day, i/we haven't actually decided what his name will be...oops, sorry..thats for me to worry..hehe..

This is also one of my inking eksperiments, but this time i took Mr. John Romita Jr's style as my guide...the result was not as familiar as his works, but still, i think i might have learned something from this exercise..

Intensionnally (<-did i spelled it right?), this character was for my version 2 of Mighty Riders, but he haven't got the chance to show his ugly mug on the pages... so, i might use him for other things..

Tried to do some clean inking..which is not much to describe..and, with a little character story written with pencil..

13 YEARS++ GAP...

Marvel, DC and Image got one of their own archer guy character, guys such as Hawkeye, Green Arrow and Shaft..so basically, this BUSURR (name subject to change..) guy, is my version of an archer character..
The first time i drew him was on November '96, and looking at it today, i felt like drawing him again just to see how i go..with a blue lead pencil, i sketched him up for about 40minutes(..i'm getting old i tell you..)
..and here he is, BUSURR 2010 without much change in costume nor design..

It's been a few days since i last posted..after a quick and a not too thorough search thru my things/stuffs..i found more of my old school animation project..yep, that stupid stiff awkward thing in my earlier post..okay, it's not an animation, all i achieved in doing was a version of an animatic..
so here's some of it..the sketches..which were also used as the main/final thing.. ;p

MR. JOE ("aku gayat ni jang" !!!)

It's been awhile since i've posted anything other than characters n such..so this here is my depiction of my friend Joe.. a live sketch with a lot of 'cute'ning done.. harhar..he's happy n i'm relieved..

"NOPE, HE'S NOT ONE OF THE THUNDERCATS..SORRY.."

Another unfinished piece.. since i have yet to really really explore Photoshop and such, i only colored it with ...demm, i forgot!..ah, its either with pencil color or water color..call me old-school but those were the only things i got at home at that time.. and as you can see, i'm not really good with colors... but that don't mean i gave up already...you just wait..and see...soon...
This particular character is an uncle to another character i made (which i haven't shown in this blog yet..) that belongs to a big mafia-like family of humanoid cats/tiger/feline..(yup, not a thing that can relate him to the Thundercats.. ;]) hmmm, that don't explain him much, but hey, i'm sure you'll recognize a warrior and a good guy when you see one...rite?!

"Shake A Leg..."

This sketch is one of my effort in trying to find a right and (maybe) logical way to draw a mechanical leg..my only reference at that time was an action figure (toy) with a very limited articulation point..i might do better if i got a Terminator skeleton robot though...hehe...but hey, people crawl bfore they run, rite? :]

SEWER CHASE!!!

One of my high school doodles..
The guy that being chased i think i named him Cyclone at that time..he was/is supposed to be a cop or an enforcer...or something(?)..
The guy on the right is his superior officer and the guy with the net is a badguy's henchman..or something(?)...and the thing that Cyclone is holding..its something important..hehe...think kablooey important..

p/s: yes, i noticed...the water effects equals utter crap..

Barricade(s)

Not much to tell about this Barricade character..except that he used to be a soldier and then moved on to be a mercenary..but he's definitely, definitely one of the bad guys..ngehehe..i created the character just for the sake of testing my inking..and as always, my inkings were sloppy and dirty..they lack the confidence it desperately need..and me, i desperately need a mentor if i really want to improve..
